Applied Food Safety and Hygiene - five day
Good hygiene and food safety standards are a fundamental requirement for the production of Marks & Spencer foods.
Marks & Spencer expect their food supplier’s management teams to understand the requirements of their Food Hygiene Code of Practice & Guidelines.
This course is based on the key principles of these standards and covers the philosophy, background and reasons for Marks & Spencer requirements.
Emphasis will be on practical hygiene standards, with groups of delegates spending time working on projects, based on actual incidents of common factory hygiene and food safety problems.
The residential course held at our national training centre in Cardiff, includes a demonstration of a Marks & Spencer approved metal detector and a practical day utilising the high care and ambient facilitates at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Who is this for?
This training course is restricted to personnel from M&S Retail and ‘A’ list food suppliers.
Management representatives (Supervisor level and above) from Technical, Operations, Hygiene and Engineering.
Please note that it is a requirement of Marks & Spencer, that a representative number of senior and first line managers, from all food suppliers, attend this training every three years.
