Management of Food Allergens for Food Manufacturers

Workshop overview

The risk of cross contamination to an allergen sufferer could be life threatening and fatal. In addition product recalls as a result of cross-contamination or incorrect allergen information, are costly and can cost a food manufacturer in excess of £500k each time. Effective training is a must to overcome this important food safety issue.

Based on section 5.2 of the BRC food safety standards, this workshop provides delegates with the required knowledge of the regulations and how allergen contamination can be prevented within their own manufacturing environment.

The workshop undertakes both classroom training and time within a factory environment, where delegates are expected to apply their classroom learning and risk perceptions will be challenged by our food safety consultant.

Please note the workshop can be adapted to include your own or customer policies/Codes of Practice and procedures for the management of allergens.

Who is it for?

The workshop is suitable for anyone working within a food manufacturing facility from factory floor to senior management. 

Food Technologists from within the retail sector may also find the workshop of benefit.
